Dutch is a West Germanic language spoken by over 23 million people in the Netherlands, Belgium, Suriname and the Caribbean. It is also a language with different dialects, for example Dutch spoken in Flanders and the Dutch spoken in the Netherlands. It’s also closely related to Afrikaans.
