Tigrinya

Tigrinya is a language in the Semitic branch of the Afro-Asiatic family. Most of its 10 million speakers can be found in Eritrea and central and northern Ethiopia, particularly in the Tigray area. Tigrinya uses the Ge’ez script. Tigrinya and Amharic share many similarities, but are not mutually intelligible.
