The Best Tagalog Classes in Washington, DC

The Best Tagalog Classes In Washington, DC

We’re going to be honest with you, it was extremely difficult to find face-to-face, in-person Tagalog/Filipino classes in Washington, DC.

The truth is, though Tagalog is a language spoken by around 50 million people worldwide, it’s not really a “popular” language to learn in the United States – yet. Thus, you’ll be hard-pressed to find institutions outside of independent native tutors offering lessons in the language.

That said, we’ve managed to find 2 companies that offer Tagalog language courses in DC, for learners of all levels. Plus, we’ve included a couple of online/digital courses that you should consider as alternatives to the often pricey in-person ones.

Most Filipinos living in America, whether American born or not, are multilingual, Tagalog more often than not being one of the languages they speak.

And with roughly 200,000 Filipinos living in the neighboring states of Maryland and Virginia, plus over 4 million living in the US as a whole, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to practice your newfound Tagalog skills.

Why not pick up one of these before you start?
